Founded in March 1937, Ballenger Construction Company began the first years of business engaged in drainage and land clearing. From the early 1960’s to the present the company expanded operations to include general construction of highways, pipe laying, box culverts, barrier walls and excavation.  Key aviation projects include aprons, taxiways and runways at Brownsville, Harlingen, Weslaco, and McAllen airports.

Today Ballenger Construction Company’s core business is construction of highways, streets and roads. The Company’s other business activities continue to include airport construction as well as material processing, asphalt and caliche works and drainage projects.

Ballenger Construction Company is a family owned and operated business and continues to be a growing and dynamic force in the Lower Rio Grande Valley construction industry with projects ranging in cost from one to more than fifty million dollars.
